Art and Casino – Night of Love Sculptures and Amusement Park Attractions

Art and Casino: Night of Love takes inspiration from the lives and work of world famous designers such as Frank Gehry, Le Corbusier and others. These artists are brought together in this exhibition to present their take on love, life and the darker side of gambling. Visitors will walk through a dark tunnel that leads them through dark and eerie realities into the light, which is that of beautiful and vibrant colours, elegant furniture and magnificent forms. The tunnel leads the viewer through a world of mirrors and spaceships before finally arriving at a colourful lighted scene of a casino floor and the colourful and joyous noise of slot machines. This tour is presented in two parts, the first part dealing with the artists’ life and works while the second part placing the contemporary art and casino inspired design in context.

The exhibition also includes many other artistic impressions, showgirl outfits, neon signs, advertisements, photographs of live performances, postcards, photographs of beautiful dancers, abstract art and casino inspired designs. The second half of the exhibition consists of an after-the-fact section for in-the-know guests who can’t get enough of the live performance by live musicians and DJs as well as a short video documentary on the making of the original Amusement Park sculpture by Le Corbusier. This video is a beautiful example of the brand of creative and playful theatre that Art and Casino: Night of Love tries to present and the many impressions that visitors can leave with. A final section takes the viewer behind the scenes to meet some of the other artist’s creations.

Whilst at first glance it would be hard to take Art and Casino: Play Book of Dead – Casumo Casino as a stand-alone exhibit, this is a misconception that soon dispelled when the visitor reaches the real world and real Amusement Park. This three-part exhibition not only has casino displays but it also offers a glimpse into the creative and humorous side of life for artists who may otherwise never see this side of art. And if the real world jitters you, don’t worry, there are plenty of quiet, intimate and relaxing areas where visitors can take in the exhibition without the hubbub. The only other thing you need to do is get yourself a nice drink and make sure that you visit the Amusement Park afterwards. After that, you’ll be able to enjoy the Night of Love sculptures and Amusement Park attractions with your family and friends.
